Haewai Houghton Valley Community Association

Houghton Bay is on the South Coast of Wellington, tucked in between Lyall Bay and Island Bay. The suburb stretches up a long valley, so we often refer to it as Houghton Valley. With the Taputeranga Marine Reserve at our doorstep and more reserve land than housing, the active community has a very strong environmental focus.

There are no shops, but we have a primary school, a playcentre, a community owned hall, two community gardens and several recreation fields.
